PE
The intent of our PE curriculum is to deliver a curriculum which is accessible to all and that will maximise the development of every child’s ability and achievement in the area of PE enabling them to know more about physical activity and keeping healthy, remember more about the physical activity they participate in and learn about and understand how to use and apply this knowledge to impact upon their own physical activity, participation and healthy lifestyle.

Autumn 1
Children have had a great time learning to play tennis with Jono from Chesterfield Tennis Club. Children in Oak and Sycamore class have had weekly lessons throughout this term.
Children in Year 5 and 6 have completed their Mini-Leader training and are ready to start leading lunchtime activities and games for the rest of the school. Well done Oak Class!
Spring 2
In February, we were lucky enough to have a visit from Sam Oldham, Team GB Olympic Gymnast. We had an incredible assembly where Sam shared his story from childhood up to the Olympics and demonstrated some of his amazing skills. Each class then had a workshop with Sam to learn some gymnastics and show off their learning from their PE lessons.
Key Stage 2 also took part in Bikeability lessons to learn to ride their bikes correctly and safely.
